Overlook Film Festival Returns with New Location

The Overlook Film Festival announced on November 1st that it would be back again in 2018. Spanning from Thursday, April 19th through Sunday April 22nd, in the ever-spooky city of New Orleans.

Screenings will be taking place at the Regal Cinemas Cinebarre Canal Place 9 Movie Theater, while the festival headquarters will be at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Don’t fret about multiple locations: according to Google Maps, this is a mere .7 miles apart.

Why the location change? Well, NOLA has a Shining connection too. There is a ghost of a child who haunts the fourth floor of the Bourbon Orleans Hotel that is said to have served as inspiration for the Grady Twins.

The schedule of films is forthcoming. The festival is currently seeking submissions for features and shorts.

Festival passes are currently on sale. Like last year, there will be two passes: All-Access and Film & Panel. Early bird pricing runs until December 1st, and a limited number of individual film tickets will be available in April.
