Another 666-Character Review of ‘Come to Daddy’

Release Date
February 7, 2020
DIRECTOR
Ant Timpson
STARRING
Elijah Wood, Stephen McHattie, & Michael Smiley

Part horror, part thriller, part dark comedy…Come to Daddy has blood, gore, laughs, and never-ending uncomfortable, anxiety inducing moments. The film opens with a tone setting, atmospheric score that places you on edge, until it shifts into quirky, silly nonsense. I thought I had this movie figured out early on but boy was I wrong. The story takes so many twists and turns, you’ll have a hard time guessing what will happen next. Wood gives such a wonderful, over-the-top performance, and is helped by a great supporting cast. Nobody in this movie is relatable or sympathetic, yet you become hooked and engaged all the same. I can’t recommend this movie enough.
