Two couples rent a luxurious home to forget their worries, but underlying relationship troubles surface and cause tensions to rise. Then a stranger with a broken down car comes to their door, causing even more fighting and changes the course of the night and their lives. Trespassers has a lot of surprises. I expected a straight forward home invasion movie and got relatable couple drama plus unexpected appearances and deaths. However, the characters start out fairly realistic with understandable problems, but three of the four end up flat caricatures by the end. So many of their decisions didn’t make sense, but it was entertaining to see how big of a mess they could make of the situation. Overall, the film brings a nice change to the home invasion plot, but the flat characters bring it down.
