A shirtless, toned, 65 year old Dennis William Quaid going completely off the rails. That is something I didn’t know I needed in my life, but I’m so glad I got it.

The Intruder is a straight forward, home invasion thriller that never gets too dark or violent, but still holds onto a pretty serious and nerve-wracking tone. It’s a game of cat-and-mouse, that has a surprise or two up its sleeve. A small cast that all give solid performances, some uncomfortable humor thrown in, and a satisfying ending that leaves no room for interpretation. The Intruder doesn’t break new ground, but it is an enjoyable ride for this time of year when horror is few and far between.

The Intruder is available now on Blu-ray and DVD, and includes bonus features including deleted scenes and a shocking alternative ending.
