Twenty-seven years after their first encounter with Pennywise, the Losers club reunites for a final showdown with fear itself.
It: Chapter 2 is your typical hero’s journey that elegantly weaves together the past and the present. The adult cast could not be more perfect (or more attractive) and the film does a great job of showcasing everyone’s talents. The story, however, felt one-dimensional which made the 3 hr runtime feel as long as it was. The film does deliver on scares which were not any less frightening despite their ample build-up. It is rife with obvious CGI, but if you promise to suspend your disbelief, this sequel still promises to be a lot of fun.
