‘Knocking’ Teases a Post-Traumatic Descent Into Insanity

After suffering a traumatic incident, Molly (Cecilia Milocco) moves into a new apartment to begin her path to recovery, but it’s not long after her arrival that a series of persistent knocks and screams begin to wake her up at night. Molly’s new life begins to unravel as the screams intensify and no one else in the building believes or is willing to help her.

With strong buzz following it’s premiere at this years Sundance Film Festival, director Frida Kempff (Bathing Micky) has created a relevant psychological horror. Huge bonus points for Yellow Veil Pictures handling distribution. I have great confidence in their taste, bringing us films like Honeydew, The Amusement Park, Sator, & Luz, just to name a few.

Built on grounded and relatable fears and anxieties, even within this short teaser trailer, I’m very much looking forward to this claustrophobic nightmare this fall.

Knocking will have a limited theatrical release on October 8th, On Demand October 19th, 2021.
