Father Knows Best In ‘The Green Inferno’

As its September 25th release approachs, following months years of distribution hell, a Father’s Day teaser for Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno.

“New York college student Justine (Lorenza Izzo), a lawyer’s daughter, meets a student activist named Alejandro (Ariel Levy) when he goes on a hunger strike on behalf of underpaid janitors. Smitten, Justine agrees to help Alejandro undertake his next project: to save the Amazon. She soon learns to regret her decision when their plane crashes in the Peruvian jungle and she and the rest of their group are taken captive by a tribe of hungry cannibals.”

Just incase you’re not up to speed…on Halloween 2013, Eli Roth (dressed at a glitter covered Twilight vampire) showed us a short clip from The Green Inferno. At the time, Open Road Films had it slated for a February 2014 release…followed by a more concrete date of September 5th 2014…then things completely fell apart. Less than a month before its intended release date, it was pulled due to financial difficulties with the production company Worldview Entertainment. Luckily, Blumhouse Productions has stepped in once again to save horror.

But will waiting over a year for Eli’s Cannibal Holocaust homage cause over-hype disappointment?
