‘A Quiet Place’ Writer’s ‘Haunt’ Elevates Extreme…Well, Haunts

On Halloween, a group of friends encounter an “extreme” haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some monsters are real.

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the minds behind the breakout horror hit A Quiet Place, are standing behind the camera this time around. With Eli Roth producing, I’m not surprised they’re leaving the more subtle, and quiet (*wink*) elements behind. Leaning into a more gore focused feature. Masks, Halloween, and brutality…it looks like these patrons are going to have the hands full…if they leave with their hands at all.

I was actually flown out for a set visit during production, and will be sharing more behind the scenes coverage in the future.

Haunt will have it’s wold premiere on August 8th at the ’19 Popcorn Frights Film Festival, and will be available in theaters and on VOD September 13, 2019
