Summer. You’re hanging out with your friends; swimming, drinking, smoking, and playing a mysterious board game you stumble across called, Game of Death. Pretty normal, right? GoD was a fun time, even if it’s a little thin on story/development, and has a strange tone. It’s not a horror/comedy, not very quirky…yet it has a very lighthearted vibe to it, while including some fairly dark subject matter. And honestly, the practical effects, gore, and sheer amount of blood make up for any failings this film may have. So. Much. Blood. A few stylistic choices I felt were unnecessary, and one majorly weird inclusion aside, this is a brisk and easy watch. Check it out!
