Erin Brown has been in front of horror cameras since the late 1990s. Video Vixen puts her behind one.
Brown, known to cult audiences as Misty Mundae, produces and stars in the film alongside director Victor Bonacore. She plays Kitty Video, an online performer who, with her partner Cam, produces staged snuff-style fetish content for a dedicated online audience. It has been a while since that particular sub-genre has had much visibility. August Underground come to mind. Things take a modern turn when their town of Silver Springs is overrun by influencers chasing viral fame and Kitty decides the illusion isn’t enough anymore.
The violence escalates. The camera keeps rolling.
Video Vixen premieres exclusively on BloodStream, with a wider streaming rollout to follow after August 1st.
Co-producer and lead actress Erin Brown says she is “intoxicated by the notion of our movies being injected into the BloodStream. I hope it’s contagious!” Director Victor Bonacore adds, “Ecstatic to have my streaming cherry popped with BloodStream, it’s an honor to be chosen by one of the new platforms of indie horror and beyond. My films have never streamed before, and this has been the perfect place to land.”
