What We Do In The Shadows co-writer/co-director/co-star Jemaine Clement has officially made my week, confirming the possibility of us seeing more of the films pack of well behaved beasts of the night.
In an interview with New Zealand’s Stuff, he says shared that a sequel to the 2015 film is currently in the planning stages. Not much else was shared, but theres a significant speculation that Rhys Darby’s character, Anton will be front & center in this spin-off, hopefully reminding his pack once again to wear tracksuit pants so they don’t rip completely.
As you heard in Episode 12 of our podcast, everyone here at Frightday believes this is one of most unique horror comedies yet, & will absolutely hold a spot on our best of 2015 lists. Next level filmmaking. Essential viewing. Lets hope that the films momentum propels this into production sooner, than later. It took nine years for the first film to come to fruition, & I don’t think I could survive that kind of wait.
