A 666-Character Review of ‘Hell and Back’

Ready for a ridiculous adventure of hellish proportions? Tom Gianas and Ross Shuman bring claymation to an entirely different audience with their animated adventure comedy Hell and Back. When Curt is sucked into a portal to hell after breaking a blood oath, his best friends Remy and Augie must follow his trail in order to save him from eternal damnation. Don’t let the style of this film fool you into thinking it’s family friendly. The dialogue is 10% plot, 90% dick jokes. That element aside, it’s visually incredible, has a great soundtrack, and features an A-list cast of actors. The film is very effective at appealing to your inner child, and despite any shortcomings it may have, it’s a lot of fun and quite charming in its own peculiar way.
