I can’t tell you how excited I am to see Annie Murphy on the small screen again. If you’re anything like me, you’ve fallen in love with her as Alexis Rose in the highly acclaimed series, Schitt’s Creek. And I couldn’t be more thrilled to see her on our side in this new AMC dark comedy.
Kevin Can F**k Himself explores the sitcom trope of a doting housewife, Allison and her dope of a husband, Kevin, but from the perspective of a frog being slowly boiled alive. As the facade of a perfect marriage crumbles to reveal a darkly unhappy Allison, she begins to concoct a plan to murder her husband. The trailer is Family Guy meets Snapped, and has you muttering “Good for her” the whole way through. Schitt’s Creek fans, I think we’re looking at an entirely new side of Annie Murphy here, but I don’t think you’ll need even a little bit Alexis to enjoy this one.
