Somewhere between Tim Burton & Steven King, The Mortuary Collection takes a more fantastical approach to the art of horror anthology. Resident mortician Montgomery Dark (it’s a family name) shares the strange history of the small island town, Raven’s End, with a young drifter looking for work. Four tales of not just how resident’s met their end, but why. Humorous, grotesque, & gory. Of course anthologies are more likely to tonally succeed when the same director takes on each segment, but Ryan Spindell finds a good balance of uniqueness within the confines of the wraparound. All in all, The Mortuary Collection is a charming, couch filling, horror love-letter.

The Mortuary Collection is available on VOD, Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray this Tuesday, April 20.
