A morning ski run near Formigal in the Pyrenees Mountains of Spain recently resulted a short video and sighting of a very unidentified creature. Is it a bear? A man in a suit? The ghost of Snowflake, the albino Gorilla who called the Barcelona Zoo home until it’s death in 2003? Or, most thrilling of all, is it YETI!?
The video was originally posted on twitter by an anonymous skier, with the following Tweet (translated to English): “This morning skiing in Formigal with friends we’ve come across this. What the hell is it?” Ski resort owners began searching the mountains for this creature as word spread and guests became very concerned. The picture spread across social media like wildfire, but the true identity of the creature remains unclear.
The resort confirmed that nothing was found, and they have told guests that there is “no cause for alarm”.
According to the Mirror, a spokesman said: “We have spoken to the witnesses of the sighting to identify the area in which it took place and after combing the area we have found nothing.
“We believe therefore that there is no cause for alarm and that visitors’ security is guaranteed.
“In any case we will remain alert.”
