A 666-Character Review of ‘Terrifier’

Pennywise, move over, because Art the Clown is the most horrifying, sadistic clown in horror. Terrifier is a classic slasher, which centers around a silent clown on Halloween Night. The film’s plot is paper thin, and I’d argue it serves as nothing more than a vehicle to showcase the impressive amount of visual effects and makeup work, but I have no problem with any of that. Some of the most brutal, intense, disgusting, gut-churning kills I’ve seen in a long while, that plays off a few tropes, while breaking a typical horror convention or two. Is this thing going to win an Oscar any time soon? Absolutely not, but Terrifier is one hell of an entertaining ride.
