A 666-Character Review Of ‘Penny Dreadful: Ebb Tide’

Vanessa and Caliban meet after her memories resurface in a sweet scene. She convinces him that they both deserve happiness and he finally meets his wife who doesn’t run and scream from him. Lily has gathered numerous women for her cause, but it grates on Dorian’s nerves as he’s continually rejected in his own home. I want to see where this movement will go. Just as things gets interesting, he ruins it and delivers Lily to Victor, where he plans to so benevolently change everything about her to his own liking. Meanwhile, Ethan and company race home while Vanessa is tempted by Dracula. He loves her for who she is. She doesn’t have to change to be the way society or the hospital or anyone else wants her to be. He seems genuine (despite being evil). The season is ramping up and next episode looks insane.
