A 666-Character Review of ‘Estranged’

If you’re like me, and horror movies get more disturbing the more realistic they are, then Adam Levins’ Estranged may be for you. After a near-fatal accident while traveling abroad, January is forced to return to the home and the family she abandoned 6 years ago. Unfortunately, the memory loss she suffered as a result of her accident left her unable to remember why she left in the first place. A truly incredibly performance from our protagonist will have you rooting for her as she searches for answers. Her very survival may depend on it. This is not by any means a feel-good movie. You WILL feel like utter garbage after watching it. But don’t let that dissuade you. This film is beautifully shot, remarkably acted, and will keep you thoroughly hooked. Estranged will be available on DVD and Blu-ray February 16th.
