Weekly Watch: ‘Tragedy Girls’

Weekly Watch is a special series for the month of October. Each Monday we’re sharing a movie, and Frightday staffers will host a live review (shared on our Facebook group) the following Friday.

A twist on the slasher genre, following two death-obsessed teenage girls who use their online show about real-life tragedies to send their small mid-western town into a frenzy, and cement their legacy as modern horror legends.

Tragedy Girls was a big hit with the Frightday crew when it hit in 2017, and we thought we’d give everyone another push to watch it if they haven’t already.

Sharp casting, an inventive script, and some brutal twists, Tragedy Girls is a treat for old and new horror lovers alike. It’s a neatly updated slasher that leans into cell phones instead of writing a lost signal into the plot. Be sure to watch it before Friday so you can tune into the livestream review this Friday (October 5th).

Tragedy Girls is available to rent from most major online services, and can be streamed on Hulu.
