Weekly Watch: ‘Halloween III: Season of the Witch’

Weekly Watch is a special series for the month of October. Each Friday we’re recommending a movie, and will follow it with a discussion led by a Frightday staffer on our facebook group in the days to follow.

This week we’re recommending 1982’s controversial Halloween III: Season of the Witch. An attempt to take the Halloween franchise into anthology territory, Season of the Witch drops Michael Myers and adopts a sci-fi tone. Initially the film was largely dismissed due to these deviations, but interest has picked up in recent years, with many claiming it’s an enjoyable film if viewed as a standalone, not part of a franchise. Check out Halloween III this weekend, and help us get to the bottom of this.
