Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) and Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) lead the cast of Blumhouse’s Truth or Dare, a supernatural thriller from Blumhouse Productions (Happy Death Day, Get Out, Split).  A harmless game of “Truth or Dare” among friends turns deadly when someone-or something-begins to punish those who tell a lie-or refuse the dare.

While co-ed ensemble slasher-esque films are pretty played out, Blumhouse has found a way to reinvent the wheel. The face morphing (h/t Snapchat filters) is surprisingly unsettling enough to make this seasoned horror vet uncomfortable while watching. A slight nod to It Follows, encompassing a game that you need to pass off on someone else, True or Dare appears to take a gorier, less allegorical approach. The trailer features plenty of shots sure to make the viewer wince, but let’s hope they saved some surprises for the film.

True or Dare hits theaters April 27th.
