Joel and Sheila Hammond are realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending both their lives down a road of death and destruction… but in a good way.
Netflix has worked hard to earn viewers’ trust and produce original, quality content. I can only hope that reputation keeps up here, as everything I’m seeing looks like a fun, lighthearted, bloody good time. From the two Scream franchise alumni to the Cake soundtrack to the absurd premise, it all seems to be moving with a fantastic synergy. Of course, trailers can be far from accurate, but I think I’m willing to trust Netflix here. I will definitely be watching day one.
