Russian ‘Delirium’ Trailer Deciphered

A man recently released from a mental institute inherits a mansion after his parents die. After a series of disturbing events, he comes to believe it is haunted.

Pro: We have a trailer for an upcoming horror movie that Topher Grace of all people is in.

Con: It’s not in English.

Russian audiences will get an earlier look at Delirium, the latest Blumhouse flick which is also co-produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. Appearing achingly similar to Unsane in the vein of possibly mentally unstable and unreliable protagonists, there will surely be jump scares committed by ghosts/hallucinations.

Roughly translated, the trailer’s audio is mainly lines of the script:

“You need to hold out for 30 days. With the slightest sign that you are going crazy, we’ll send you back to the hospital.”

“This was not a game of light.”

“Hello little brother, this is a game of light.”

“How can you trust yourself?”

“I did not see. I’m not you.”

“This was not a game of light.”

The text in the trailer says, “convince yourself it’s all in your head.”

Delirium will start its Russian theatrical run on May 10 with a DVD and VOD release in the states on June 5.

Note: there is another that came out in January titled Delirium. These are two separate movies and sparse information is available for the one detailed in this article.
