Horror comedy is a shockingly difficult genre to pull off, but Night of the Living Deb feels like a unique and strong entry in the genre. While the zombie premise is certainly wearing with the majority of viewers, it doesn’t seem to be a focus here, only the vehicle. The tone of the film comes out pretty strong here and it seems safe to say this won’t be for everyone. But for those who like off-kilter horror comedies where the laughs are a bit more mainstage than the gore, this looks to be a perfect fit.
