As her 16th birthday nears, Sabrina must choose between the witch world of her family and the human world of her friends.
This isn’t the Sabrina your parents read about in ‘Archie’ comics. This isn’t even the Sabrina you watched on TV in the 90s. Following the CW’s success with ‘Riverdale’ Netflix has opted to produce a mature, occult-heavy reimagining of the famous character Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
The cast is fronted by Kiernan Shipka (The Blackcoat’s Daughter) with Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings) and Lucy Davis (Wonder Woman) taking on the roles of Sabrina’s aunts. Ross Lynch (My Friend Dahmer) also features as Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina’s human boyfriend.
The show was developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also penned the ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ comic launched in 2014. It was part of a new Archie Horror imprint, and has 8 issues as of this publication.
The first season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will be available on Netflix on October 26th, 2018.
