A man haunted by the mysterious death of his 4-year-old sister brings her back to life thirty years later as an adult woman, with dire consequences.

Ayla is the latest effort from writer-director Elias. This first trailer shows off some intriguing cinematography paired with a soliloquy by a struggling protagonist. It’s effective, conjuring a desperate tone with terror creeping in around the edges. It’s a lot to take in, to be sure, but between the trailer and synopsis Ayla sounds like one to keep an eye out for in the future.

Ayla does not have a wide release date as of this posting.
