‘Don’t Look In The Basement 2’ Picks Up Where It Left Off

Over 40 years after the premiere of cult classic film Don’t Look In The Basement (released in 1973 under the title The Forgotten), director and co-screenwriter Anthony Brownrigg picks off where his father left off as he prepares for the release of his new supernatural thriller Don’t Look in the Basement 2.

The film is set forty years after the original and follows the only known survivor of the mass murder as he returns to the institution where the grisly killings took place. His presence there triggers a series of increasingly disturbing events.

To strengthen the connection between the original film and the upcoming sequel, Brownrigg cast Camilla Carr in a featured role and revisited a familiar setting, the Trinity Institute (formerly Westminster College) in Tehuacana, Texas for four weeks of principal filming. The film also stars Andrew Sensenig as Dr. William Matthews, Arianne Margot as Dr. Lucy Mills, Frank Mosley as Dr. Lance White, and co-writer Megan Emerick in the supporting role of Nurse Jennifer. Other supporting characters include Jim O’Rear and Scott Tepperman as orderlies Billy and Bishop, and Willie H. Minor Jr. as Sam Withers, a mysterious patient.

Don’t Look in the Basement 2 is set for release on DVD and Blu-Ray May 24th and VOD release this summer.
