Don’t Listen to Kelly’s 666-Character Review of ‘The Gallows’

The Gallows is not a good movie. Following an acceptable five minute segment of VHS footage from 1993, we’re instantly engulfed by a wave of irritation. This film is a swirly. We’ve got poor acting, deep plot holes, & offensive use of found footage. The camera is placed in the hands of one of the most unlike protagonists in modern horror history. Worst of all, nothing new is brought to the table. I very much believe that these directors have unseen talent & that whatever they do next could possibly be great, but when you give a first effort like this a wide release, it turns a lot of folks off. No one likes being bamboozled, & that’s exactly what’s happened.
