A psychological thriller about a man who bumps into an old flame and subsequently becomes obsessed with her, leading him to hold her captive underneath the animal shelter where he works. But what will the victim have in store for her assailant?
It’s an increasingly common trope, but it looks like the victim-turned-vaguely-villainous angle still has some gas in it. This trailer is an increasingly uncomfortable experience that zigs when you think it’s going to zag, and leaves you questioning just how much of the story you really know. It’s not accurate to say it’s “fun” but it certainly knows what its selling, and it sells it well.
