A 666-Character Review of ‘Vanishing on 7th Street’

For anyone who finds their television set stuck on whatever channel is running a Twilight Zone marathon on any given holiday, Vanishing on 7th Street will feel familiar in all the right ways. Sure, it stars one of the responsible parties for the sacrilege that was Star Wars: Episodes 1-3, but it also stars Leguizamo. Sure, the story is a bit predictable at points, but it is genuinely scary at others. Most importantly, director Brad Anderson brought us Session 9 & The Machinist – for that, alone,Vanishing deserves a chance. Don’t expect ground-breaking horror, but sit back and enjoy a good, old-fashioned scary tale, delivered in expert Twilight Zone fashion.
