A 666-Character Review of ‘Terrified’

Release Date

WRITTEN & DIRECTED BY
Demián Rugna

Terrified is an Argentinian supernatural horror film by writer/director Demian Rugna, bearing similarities to Insidious and Pet Sematary. Playing off the terrors of witnessing something inexplicable and no one believing you, the story puts all of its likable, relatable characters through the ringer. The visuals are some of the most frightening in recent cinema, specifically the deceased son & the entity from another realm. Well written & well acted, it refreshingly features an older ensemble of actors who avoid the unfortunate pitfalls of overacting. Finished with an open-ended conclusion, this is one of few movies from which I wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel.
