A 666-Character Review of ‘Starfish’

Release Date

A.T. White (as Al White)

What starts off as a very subtle story about a woman dealing with the loss of her best friend, quickly turns down a road that has too many alleyways to get lost in. Such as monster/alien creatures, travel across space and time, a lost & found style mission, and a puzzle that needs solving. While trying to do all of those things, it gets muddled and hard to follow. From ambiguous to incomprehensible.
This movie has the visual style of a music video, the aesthetic of an Instagram™ influencer, and a soundtrack curated by a high school art student. The camerawork and score are both very good, and add just enough to make the movie worthwhile. A slight recommend.
