A 666-Character Review Of ‘Society’

Social commentary doesn’t have to be subtle to be effective. Subtlety is not Society‘s strong suit, but it has a pointed message about the US class system that’s as relevant now as it ever was. It’s the story of Billy, a kid who lives in Beverly Hills with his wealthy family. Billy isn’t happy, he’s paranoid that his family is out to get him. Sounds easy to write off, but when he finds help in a few skeptics in the community they’re bumped off. Something’s up, and it’s bigger than Billy thinks. Brian Yuzna tells a fantastic story of paranoia and doubt that builds, and builds to a surreal, explosive, and unique twist. Check it out but don’t spoil that ending.
