A 666-Character Review of ‘Shooting the Warwicks’

A deranged director and his kowtowing crew film a perfect family without their knowledge. One problem: they are too boring to watch. The director inserts chaos, which leads the family to an unbelievably maudlin end. While the concept of this film is very compelling—and one could argue that this might be the next evolution of reality TV—but fails in execution. The characters are flat, passive, and the acting seems up to par to a movie that might be called Junk in Da Trunk 33. Further proof: Ron Jeremy has a small role in this disappointing satire. Writer/director Adam Rifkin has fallen a long way from Mousehunt, a movie I’d watch 666 times before this one.
