A 666-Character Review of ‘Scream: The Orphanage’

The Orphanage is certainly an evidence heavy episode. It takes a two-pronged approach, focusing on Audrey and Emma separately, and collides their stories at the end. From start to finish the episode is jam packed with plenty of clues, and likely a few false ones—no doubt a treat for the conspiracy-minded viewer. Sadly, the real meat of this episode only lasts a short while and comes right at the end. The remaining Sixers find themselves at a “Face the Mask” party in an abandoned orphanage. It’s a high-tension-low-body-count situation, but it works. The bigger clues dropped this episode were lost on the characters, but hit viewers hard, and for that alone it was a satisfying. It’s been a long season of twists and turns, but with this latest episode it seems we’ve finally hit the homestretch.
