A 666-Character Review Of ‘Let’s Be Evil’

Let’s Be Evil‘s concept is brilliant – kids with unreal intelligence due to AR training and AI integration tormenting their new care givers – but that concept is wasted. On the surface there’s a lot of cool stuff going on, the choice to justify the surreal scares with the AR gimmick was an amazing one, but when you dig deeper you’ll find a confusing plot, a villain with no discernible goal, and scenes that seemingly play no part in the story. When it’s good, it’s great. But when it’s bad, it’s incomprehensible. The great OST and creative visuals can’t keep the plot afloat, but if you turn your brain off and enjoy the AV side of things there’s fun to be had.
