In 2016, Hell House LLC surprised horror fans with its fresh take on a tired horror subgenre. The creepy found-footage film depicts how a Halloween haunted house launch could go wrong. The 2018 sequel Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel takes many of the spooks that worked in the original and executes them well, albeit a bit predictably. Unfortunately, this film’s characters aren’t as likable as the original’s and its storyline is muddled. The film does pick up once its characters enter The Abaddon Hotel, but all creeps come to a halt during its third act. Although Hell House LLC II doesn’t do what its predecessor did, it’s still worth a watch this season.
