A 666-Character Review of ‘Death Bed: The Bed That Eats’ (1977)

If you like weird flicks that make little sense, you’d be hard pressed to find a better watch than Death Bed: The Bed That Eats. This 1977 movie follows the trials and tribulations of a bed that’s possessed by a demonic spirit. The bed occasionally satiates its hunger by slowly consuming a passersby. The bed’s story is also pretentiously narrated by a man who is stuck in a painting… I know. Although this flick is less than perfect and painfully slow, it’s got a certain something. Maybe it’s the surrealism; maybe it’s the movie’s far-out scenes that depict the bed digesting bottles of wine, etc. If you do choose to watch this film, just go in with an open mind.
