A 666-Character Review Of ‘Clown’

Tonally, this film is bleak. The level of seriousness given to a man stunk in a costume made from a demon’s skin causes it to tilt more to the side of a black comedy than anything else. At no point was I laughing out loud, but I was frequently shaking my smirking head throughout. Above all else, Andy Powers transformation from family man to monster is well worth witness. Bravo makeup dept. If you can get past the absurdity of its concept, there is absolutely a chance for enjoyment in your viewing horizon. It’s a toss-up as to if I feel Clown should have remained in its short film form, but I know for a fact I will never look at a ball pit the same way again.
